The Football Association has moved the kick off time for the 2017 Community Shield to avoid a possible clash with the final of the women’s European Championships.
That time has, however, been moved to 2pm, with the Euro 2017 final kicking of at 5pm.
Mark Sampson’s England side are expected to reach final but will first have to overcome the Netherlands in Thursday’s semi-final.
Mirror Football understands that neither Arsenal nor Chelsea objected to the change of time.
BT, who will broadcast the Wembley clash, were also consulted before the decision was made.
Chelsea and Arsenal last met in the Community Shield two years ago after then-Blues manager Jose Mourinho had guided his side to the Premier League title.
Arsene Wenger earned his first ever win over Mourinho in that fixture, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scoring the only goal of the game.
