Jack Wilshere has returned to full training today with Arsenal as he steps up his recovery from the leg break he suffered last season while on loan with Bournemouth.
The Arsenal midfielder joined in with some sessions with the first-team squad last week at London Colney, but was left out of the squad for the Emirates Cup at the weekend.
Arsene Wenger insisted his absence was purely down to fitness issues and told reporters that the 25-year-old would join in full at training this week.
And Wilshere did exactly that on Tuesday and could be involved this Sunday when Arsenal take on Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley.
And the England international is clearly happy to be back judging by the message he sent out to Arsenal fans on social media.
Posting a picture of himself during training with Mesut Ozil, Wilshere told is followers he was ‘feeling stronger every day’.
The midfielder – who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth – has just one year left on his contract with the Gunners and talks over a new deal are said to have broken down.
West Ham have been strongly linked with a move, but Arsene Wenger insists Wilshere does still have a future at the Emirates.
The Arsenal boss said: “I think Jack will be with Arsenal next season, yes.
