Wenger currently has a large chunk of midfielders at his disposal and all the players have to be at their best to get first team football.
Arsenal on-loan midfielder Jack Wilshere has stayed fit and impressed with Bournemouth so far.
Per report, Benik Afobe says his Cherries team-mates want the England international to quit the Emirates for good this summer.
Wilshere joined his long-time friend on the south coast in a surprise season-long switch last August.
And ex-Arsenal youngster Afobe reckons it’s not just him that is keen for the 25-year-old to make the Vitality Stadium his permanent home.
The Bournemouth hitman told The Sun: “Everyone wants him to stay. Everyone knows how good Jack is. We want to attract good players so we have to keep good players.
“It’s is just about him staying fit and showing everyone what he can do. Hopefully he can keep on doing what he can do.
“I think he would have liked a couple more goals, I think he has been unlucky in some situations. He is working hard every day, he is a top professional, and he has brought some life into the squad, not just on the pitch but on the training ground. He is quite loud and quite funny.
“It shows how far Bournemouth have come bringing these sort of player to the club and hopefully we can keep progressing and getting better.
“To be honest I don’t think even he knows what he is going to be doing. We have conversations all the time and he just wants to play week in week out and take it month by month and see what happens at the end of the season.
“The main thing for him is about getting his confidence back and staying injury free.”
He’ll be hoping to retain his place in Eddie Howe’s starting XI when they return to action against Crystal Palace next Tuesday.
