WILFRIED ZAHA will not be arriving at Arsenal.
Crystal Palace’s star winger has been linked with a move to the Emirates as the Gunners eye replacements for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal’s two attackers are both set to leave the club in 2018.
Starsport understands Manchester City target Sanchez could be off in January with Nabil Fekir lined up by Arsenal as a £60m solution.
A deal with Lyon is “almost done”, which would see the 24-year-old No.10 reunited with Alexandre Lacazette.
However, Zaha is not expected to join as well.
The tricky winger, who failed to make the step up at Manchester United before returning to Palace, is not believed to be on Arsenal’s agenda.
Palace would be strongly reluctant to sell their best player in the mid-season window anyway as they fight to survive from relegation.
But Eagles boss Roy Hodgson will not have to worry about Arsenal making a move at this stage.
If Palace drop into the Championship at the end of the season, Zaha would likely go, which would spark a Premier League scramble for his signature.
A move to Arsenal in January, though, for the £35m-rated attacker – tracked by Tottenham in the past – is not anticipated.
The rumour bears similarities to the Riyad Mahrez links in the summer.
Leicester’s playmaker was repeatedly mooted for a move to north London after Arsene Wenger had hailed his talent.
