While the gunners are still celebrating their 2-0 win over Liverpool which has ensured Arsenal are five points and 5 goals ahead of the closest team on the table Arsene Wenger however have bad news for the gunners.
Kieran Gibbs was pulled out of the match in the second half at colliding with a board and was seeing limping off the pitch with Thomas Vermaelen replacing him. The injury has now been confirmed to be a calf injury by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Talking to the press after the impressive win over Liverpool, Wenger said to the press men : “It is a calf problem, I don’t know how bad it is”
Although Wenger has not confirmed how bad the injury is, it is likely that Gibbs will now be ruled out of action for as long as 2 weeks or even more. He joins the likes of Lukas Podolski, Mathiue Flamini, Theo Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain and Abou Diaby on the treatment table.
