Breaking News : Jack Wilshere To Return Earlier Than First Thought

why me????

Year in year out, injuries have always been Arsenal’s major problem in the football season. Only this season, the gunners have had players such as Ramsey, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Cazorla, Ozil, Podolski and now Wilshere out with various degrees of injuries. The spate of injuries have always ensured Wenger have to call upon the same set of players week in week out which often lead to more injuries to key players as a result of burn out and this often end up ruining the gunners’ season.

This is why Arsenal fans had a sense of De ja Vu when it was announced Wilshere will be out for 6 weeks. However, Arsenal fans will now be relieved to hear that Jack Wilshere’s injury is not as serious as the club’s doctors’ initially thought. According to daily mail, Wilshere who was injured during the international friendly between Denmark and England at Wembley and was said to have been ruled out for 6 weeks has undergone another test and it has been discovered that the young midfielder’s injury is not so bad after all.

At the time of the first scan carried out by Wilshere to ascertain the extent of the injury, it was thought that he will be out for as much as 8 weeks but after returning from a week long break in Dubai according to daily mail, the player is now very likely to return to action in mid-April for the gunners as they try to end their 9 seasons trophy drought.

Only couple of days ago Wilshere posted a picture of himself wearing a protective boot which made many suggest he may be out for longer than we all expected but daily mail now claims he is now able to walk around the training ground freely and has step up his rehabilitation.

If true, this will certainly be a good development for the gunners who have also lost Ozil to injury and still have Aaron Ramsey on the treatment table. The return of Wilshere will surely give Wenger added option in midfield and with Ramsey also likely to return within 2 weeks, Arsenal will now have enough weapon to prosecute the reminder of the season.
