Reports have suggested that Riyadh Mahrez might be on his way to the Emirates for Medicals as the Leicester City midfielder has refused to rule out a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The 25-year-old Algerian international led the Foxes to win the Premier League last season. A season nick-named ‘the fairytale’ in England. The Algerian was named the PFA player of the year after scoring 17 goals and grabbed 11 assists during the season.
His skills and pace down the wings has attracted a lot of clubs to look his way and the Sun newspaper has recently claimed that Arsenal have opened talks with Mahrez.
The report further claimed Mahrez has admitted that he is still open to staying at the King Power Stadium for next season but he has not ruled out a summer transfer from the club either.
Arsenal is the front-runner to get the services of the Leicester playmaker and will be hoping to meet all his demands. Should he join Arsenal, he will not only be a likely replacement for Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi on the right wing, he will also be a reliable cover for Mesut Ozil whenever the German needs to be rest, out of form, injured or suspended.
