Chuba Akpom is close to agreeing a £2 million permanent transfer away from Arsenal.
The Independent reports that the player does not have a future at Arsenal and he is close to joining Belgian side Stint-Truiden.
Akpom spent the second half of last season on loan at the Jupiler League side and impressed during his time in Belgium.
The report claims that there is also believed to be interest from clubs in France, with a deal expected to be completed either over the weekend or in the early stages of next week.
A lot was expected of Akpom from a young age at Arsenal, but he has failed to realise his potential at the club.
After making his debut the club he became something of a serial loanee, with spells at Nottingham Forest, Hull and Brighton.
