Manchester United have put a £25 million price tag on Arsenal target Chris Smalling, according to reports.
With Per Mertesacker set to retire at the end of the season, the Gunners are in need of defensive reinforcements.
According to the Sunday Star, Arsene Wenger has targeted the England international to help bolster his backline.
Smalling’s performances have notably dipped under Jose Mourinho, and the 28-year-old was even dropped by Gareth Southgate from the national squad in November.
A move for Smalling looks more likely therefore, with United reportedly open to doing business.
