Paris Saint-Germain are expected to make an official offer to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal this week, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports News reporter has claimed that the north London side are keen to try and land the 28-year-old Chile international, who will be out of contract at The Emirates at the end of next season.
Sanchez’s future has been a relentless source of speculation this summer as he continues to be linked with a possible move away from north London.
The matter is not helped by Arsenal’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League, with the Gunners having to settle for Europa League football next term after they finished fifth.
Now, Sheth has claimed that PSG are expected to make an official approach to sign Sanchez from Arsenal this week as they look to ramp up their efforts to land him.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Wednesday morning, Sheth said: “It could be a very busy few weeks at Arsenal. Alexis Sanchez remains a hot topic.
“There is an expectation that PSG will make a bid for the player.
“Arsenal’s stance remains the same – he’s not for sale and he will be at the club next season. Sanchez has a year left on his Arsenal contract.”
Arsenal will kick off their Premier League campaign with a clash against Leicester next month.
