Arsenal and Tottenham are weighing up a move for Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch, according to German media outlet Bild. Both clubs are monitoring Grillitsch after some impressive displays in the midfield of the park for the Bundesliga club. Grillitsch also played a pivotal role in Hoffenheim’s mid-week victory over Manchester City in the Champions League.
Such impressive performances have rightly attracted attention from Europe’s top clubs, with Spurs and Arsenal reported to be interested. It’s unsure how much would be needed to lure Grillitsch to the Premier League, but his agent was in England last week to discuss his future. He’s only been at Hoffenheim since 2017 after joining from Werder Bremen, but he has since adapted to Julian Nagelsmann’s expansive style of football at the club with ease. Hoffenheim have three more fixtures before the winter break, a period in which Grillitsch could depart the club in the upcoming transfer window next month.
