Arsenal will play Chelsea on Saturday after weekend’s defeat to League Champions Manchester City at the Emirate Stadium.
The Gunners have a good record against the Blues in previous meetings having gone unbeaten in each of their last six competitive meetings.
But Arsenal new manager Unai Emery will have some injury concern going into the game with the likes of Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Emery has broken silence on the extent of his squad injury problem and revealed its highly unlikely Maitland-Niles will make the starting lineup after picking up the injury against City at the Weekend.
Arsene Wenger’s first choice Monreal has returned to full training after suffering a knee injury in pre-season and he could be up to face Chelsea on Saturday.
It is believed summer signing Stephan Lichtsteiner will is naturally a right-back would be deployed at the left-back as he did against City when he replaced Maitland-Niles over the weekend.
While Kolasinac has been ruled out and is not expected back for around two months with a knee problem he picked against Chelsea during the pre-season clash in Ireland.
And Frenchman Laurent Koscielny is not due back until the New Year.
