One of the products of the Arsenal youth academy has now agreed to leave the club, a couple of weeks into the new season.
Unai Emery will not be able to sign any more new players, following the closing of the Premier League’s transfer window almost two weeks ago.
However, the Gunners will still be able to get rid of players before the month of August is brought to an end.
Thus, Arsenal’s latest deal has seen the club offload Josh Dasilva, who has agreed to join Brentford in the second division on a long-term contract.
The Bees confirmed on Tuesday that they had managed to complete the signing of the midfielder from Arsenal.
“Brentford have signed former Arsenal midfield player Josh Dasilva on a long-term contract.” an official statement from Brentford said
“The England youth international completed a medical in West London yesterday, Monday 20 August, and signed a four-year contract.
“There is a Club option for an additional year. Compensation will be due to Arsenal as the Premier League side offered Josh, 19, a contract but he chose to leave North London and has now joined The Bees.”
