Arsenal close in on Arsene Wenger successor
When it comes to inside information on Arsenal, the BBC’s David Ornstein is the go-to-guy for the goings on at The Emirates.

Arsene Wenger’s successor: Mikel Arteta!
My understanding is that the manager has now been agreed and discussions are now revolving around some new staff that may join with him

All signs now point to Mikel Arteta as Arsene Wenger’s successor.
The Spaniard has huge links to the club having been Arsenal captain.
In addition, Arteta has completed a fine apprenticeship under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this season.
Guardiola said after Manchester City’s win over Southampton on Sunday that he would not stand in the way of Arteta.
It seems likely that Arteta would bring a new dynamism to the club and crucially will fit into the structure put in place at the club over the past year to prepare for Arsene Wenger’s departure.
