The Gunners are set for talks with the long-serving Frenchman in the coming weeks and are already planning for life without him at the Emirates Stadium next season.
Wenger is in the final year of his contract with Arsenal and has not yet taken up the club’s offer of a new two-year deal amid links with the likes of Barcelona.
According to The Sun, this has led the north London giants to take a look at Allegri, who is looking almost certain to quit his current job in the summer after some difficulties in Turin this season.
The Italian tactician has fallen out with some big-name players at Juve, including Leonardo Bonucci and Paulo Dybala, and is rumoured to be tempted by the chance to work in the Premier League.
Diego Simeone, Thomas Tuchel and Leonardo Jardim also remain in Arsenal’s sights, but Allegri has apparently emerged as the outstanding candidate if Wenger does decide to step down.
