Arsenal youngster Kelechi Nwakali looks set for a move away from London.
The 20-year-old Nigerian U20 international has been with Arsenal since 2016, but has not managed to break through into the first team.
After signing for the Gunners, he was sent out on loan to Dutch side MVV Maastricht. He then had a loan spell with VVV Venlo, before once again returning to Maastricht on loan this season.
Nwakali won the Golden Ball at the U17 World Cup and much has been expected of the talented youngster, but he has so far failed to live up to those expectations.
And now he has announced that he has left the club again to make the move to Porto.
Nwakali revealed on his Instagram page that he was going “Back to Work” and that it was in Portugal for Porto.
Arsenal announced their released and retained list earlier today, and Nwakali’s name was not mentioned as having been released, so it would seem the youngster has gone out on loan once more, rather than leaving the club altogether.
