Former Arsenal star Luis Boa Morte now works as a scout for the club and he has noted the performaces of Derick Poloni whilst watching Leixoes lately, according newspaper O Jogo, as translated by Sport Witness.

Leixoes play in the Portuguese second division and their Brazilian left-back Poloni’s performances have impressed seemingly impressed Boa Morte.

Poloni is set to leave the club this summer as Leixoes are unlikely to win promotion and his performances have shown he is too god to play in that division.

The Brazilian full back is 24-years-old and has made over 100 career appearances but is yet to prove himself at the top level.

Poloni joined Leixoes on a free last Summer and it is unlikely that he would command a large fee if the Gunners decide to make a move.

At this moment in time, there is little information to suggest whether Arsenal are going to make a bid or if their interest is very strong but this is a story to keep an eye on.
