With Michy Batshuayi off to Chelsea, Lyon looking like they are not ready to sell Lacazette soon and deliberately putting the price to high for would be suitors, Arsenal stand a risk of not signing a striker at all this summer. This is especially so as one Of Arsenal’s main target has moved to Scotland.
The player in question is Moussa Dembele who was until this week on the books of Fulham. Arsenal were linked with the signing of the former PSG player with John Cross of Mirror, who is very reliable, confirming Arsenal tabled a bid for the Frenchman which was deemed not good enough and rejected by Fulham.
According to BBC, the player passed his medical with Fulham on Tuesday and has now officially signed for the club. This will be a massive blow to Arsenal as the way things are going, Dembele would have been the sort of last resort signing Wenger would have made.
He scored 17 goals in the Championship last season. Aside Arsenal, he has been linked with Tottenham. The Tinytots were said to be close to signing him last January but Fulham stopped the deal at the last minute. Hopefully Wenger knows what he is doing. We simply can’t afford to end yet another transfer window without signing the much needed striker. That will be suicidal.
