Arsenal closing in on Murillo amid Chelsea and Man United interest
North London club Arsenal has reportedly prepared a new offer to sign Inter Milan captain Jeison Murillo with premier league heavy weights Chelsea and Manchester United also interested in the centre-back.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been urged to strengthen his defensive options this summer transfer window, after finishing behind surprise English Premier League champions Leicester City last season.
The Emirate club has made another enquiry about the availability of Jeison Murillo with the Italian club demanding a transfer fee not less than €18.5 million for the defender, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also thought to have targeted the signing of the 24-year-old defender, after a failed bid last month, while former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho remains intent on adding him to his Manchester United squad.
Report indicates Inter Milan is yet to agree with any of the three English Premier League clubs even though the defender is reportedly keen on a move to the English premier league.
The defender has just returned from the Copa America duty with Colombia alongside Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina. He has four more years remaining on his current contract with the Serie A club.
Report says Laurent Koscielny is likely to miss the first month of next season due to his participation at Euro 2016; Arsene Wenger would like to sign a new defender ahead of pre-season in July.
