Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck is reportedly open to a move to Everton this month.
The England international has been linked with a switch to Merseyside in recent times, and it looks as though Everton’s apparent interest in the player is being reciprocated.
It’s claimed today by Italian news outlet TMW that Welbeck is “very fond” of Toffees boss Ronald Koeman, who is on the lookout for a new striker for this season.
Romelu Lukaku’s departure has left Everton light up front, with Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney the only established, senior strikers at Koeman’s disposal.
So, with a void to fill, the Toffees have been linked with numerous strikers. The likes of Nikola Kalinic, Olivier Giroud and many others have been linked, but it appears as though a move for Welbeck could be a favourable one.
Welbeck opened his account for the season on Friday night, scoring Arsenal’s second in a 4-3 win over Leicester.
