Arsene Wenger is nearing the end of his current contract with Arsenal and there is no telling if he would sign another deal, leaving the club linked with several managers.
Diego Simeone has been linked with a move to Arsenal but the Koke, who is a midfielder with the club has warned that Simeone will see out his contract at Arsenal.
Simeone, 46, has transformed Atletico into a European giant since taking over in 2011 and the club have reached two out of the last three Champions League finals.
Since joined the Rojiblancos, Simeone has won several titles, including breaking the duopoly of Real Madrid and Barcelona to win the League in 2014.
Simeone’s contract with the club expires in 2018 and he’s being heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger out of contract at the end of the season.
If the Frenchman does decide to leave the Emirates, Simeone would be high on the club’s list of targets but Koke has warned the Gunners that he won’t be leaving the Vicente Calderon this summer.
‘You [the media] are always asking if he’s going to stay,’ said Koke after Atletico’s 1-0 win against Las Palmas.
‘He has a contract and it looks as though he’ll see it out.
‘The team is fine; we won, which is what we had to do. It wasn’t an easy game, Las Palmas know what they are doing – they play attractive football and we played very well.’
