The former Leeds and England right-back believes the Gunners will do well to snatch the wantaway Belgian from Manchester United. Fellaini was signed by the Red Devils from Everton for £27.5 million in 2013 and was initially under severe criticism on how he does not fit into the club ethos.

The arrival of Mourinho changed things as the 30-year old became an invaluable option from the bench as a plan B. The Portuguese always emphasises on the importance of Fellaini yet, the midfielder reportedly refused a contract extension in the summer. This implies the player is available on a free in the summer and Mills urges Arsenal to sign him. The BBC pundit said:

“Why would you get rid of him? If you could keep him, why would you allow one of your rivals to take him and make them stronger? He does a job. He does what John Obi Mikel did for many years at Chelsea. Keep him and bring somebody else in as well. That would be the ideal scenario.”

“It is not like ‘if we keep him, we haven’t got any money left because we’ve got to pay him some wages’. You keep him, allow him to do his job. Fill in when necessary, be a squad player, do all those things. He’s scored some important goals because he is a threat. Arsenal would love him, without a shadow of a doubt. Just to sit in front of the back four, win a few headers.”

Mills definitely makes a few valid points and now it is up to Wenger whether he wants to bring Fellaini to the Emirates.
