Arsene Wenger Praises Wojciech Szczesny’s ‘Psychological Impact’ On Arsenal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised Arsenal Wojciech Szczesny and also declared the keeper is have more and more impact on Arsenal’s defence line. The Poland national team keeper has been in impressive from since he regained back his first team shirt at the tail end of last season after he initially lost his shirt to fellow Poland national team mate Lukas Fabianski.

“He comes off the line much more to claim the ball,” Wenger observed to the club’s official website.

“His movement to take the ball at the peak is much better and he has shown that, especially in the last two games against Swansea and Napoli, when it was needed to come off the line and take a cross.

“It sometimes has a psychological impact on an opposing team when a goalkeeper comes to claim a cross or is quick off his line.”

I agree with Wenger. Szczensy has improved massively since last season. It seems dropping him for couple of matches help get him serious. His complacency seems to be his greatest undoing but that I ams sure will be eliminated as he grows in age and becomes more experienced.
