There have been several reports in the last few weeks that claim Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is interested in signing Newcastle United and Netherlands national team goal keeper Tim Krul. The player has however told Sky sports he is committed to the Newcastle United cause. The player was thought to be on his way to join the Gunners in the last transfer window but nothing came out of the rumours but if you believe the reports, Wenger is prepared to go back for the player next summer.
Talking to Sky sports, the high rated goal keeper practically told Wenger to forget attempting to talk him into switching Tyneside for the Emirates.
“What the papers write I don’t take notice any more, I have got a four years contract at Newcastle, I’m really happy,” he told Sky Sports News.
“I love playing for this club, so I just focus on myself and getting a good season this season and then hopefully going to the World Cup.” (Sky Sports).
Arsenal currently do not need another goal keeper after signing Palermo’s Viviano on a season long loan deal.
