Denis Suarez is reportedly on the watch list of Unai Emery and Arsenal, according to reports in TalkSport.
The Gunners have been put on high-alert for the Barcelona player after increasing rumours that the La Liga side are willing to let the ex-Sevilla player move on in January, with his contract set to expire in 2020.
Suarez has only made a handful of appearances for the Catalans since his move from Manchester City in 2013, making 36 appearances for the Barcelona B team in his first season. His performances did however gain him many plaudits, and none were more impressed than the then Sevilla manager Unai Emery, who gave him 31 first team appearances in the 2014-15 season at the tender age of 20.
The Spain U21 international then completed a transfer to Villareal the following season from Barcelona for £10.8, before returning back to Catalonia after Luis Enrique saw Suarez as a suitable addition to his squad. He went on to make 36 appearances in the 2016/17 campaign but has only played 30 times since. His lack of game-time seems to be signalling an end to his Barcelona career and it seems joining up with Unai Emery once more could the way out.
Arsenal are currently performing well in the Premier League with Emery’s squad beginning to perform the way he wants it to. However, the Arsenal hierarchy are currently reshaping their squad with high profile names pipped for departures.
Aaron Ramsey has been told his contract with not be renewed, Welbeck is reportedly in a similar situation and more recently Ozil’s place in the new look Arsenal has been questioned.
