Arsenal Target Agrees Deal, Signs 5 Years Contract, Will Earn £65,000/Week

Arsenal fans would be saddened by the recent reports that Lorient and Portuguese left-back Raphael Guerreiro has signed a four year contract with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

Guerreiro is a Portuguese by birth but was born and raised in France. The player is currently the left-back for the Portuguese national team at the European Tournament in France where he impressed in the game against Iceland In the 1-1 draw .

Arsenal are known to have long admired the player who has been consistent for two years now in the French Ligue 1 but were indecisively and unwilling to make a move before Dortmund signed the player. The 22-year-old at his young age is already one of the best in his position .

Arsenal will have to move for Wolfsburg’s Ricardo Rodriguez who has handed a transfer request at the German club. Arsenal desperately need a new left back as Spaniard Nacho Monreal is already above 30 and is likely to experience a decline in form anytime soon.

Arsenal will have to make a bid of £19 million to trigger the Swiss defenders release clause with Wolfsburg. Arsenal have already signed another Swiss player Granit Xhaka who was signed for £33 million from Borussia Monchengladbach after captaining the club to a 4th place finish last season.
