England International Jamie Vardy’s transfer to Arsenal has stalled after the Leicester striker joined England for EURO 2016 with the deal yet to be sealed.
Vardy was expected to seal the deal taking him to Arsenal on Monday, after news filtered in that he was to undergo medicals at the club on Sunday, this was after the Gunners has activated his £20 million release clause.
The mirror is reporting that Vardy is still undecided about his club careers, and has flown to France with the English national team for the European championship on Monday. The same paper also reporting that England coach Roy Hodgson gave Vardy enough time to settle his transfer issues before joining the international setup on Tuesday.
Report has it that Leicester City are set to table the English International an improved contract worth around £120,000 per week, which doubles his current earnings, so as to convince him not to join the Gunners.
Arsenal and Manager Arsene Weneger are still hoping they can seal the deal before England plays her opening Euro 2016 match on Saturday against Russia.
British tabloids are reporting that the Hammers are interested in signing Theo Walcott, who has grown frustrated at the Emirates due to lack of first team football.
