Arsenal is set to make a double swoop on Newcastle United as the London club attempts to sign both Yohan Cabaye and Tim Krul in a deal said to be worth 25 million according to sabotagetimes.com. Only last week Arsenal made an offer of 10 million pounds for Newcastle’s France international Cabaye which was rejected as derisory by Liverpool.
However, sabotagetimes.com are now reporting Arsenal will not only try to sign Cabaye but as well as Krul. It is believed that Wenger believes Krul will be the ideal competition for Arsenal’s current first choice Szczensy.
Arsenal are currently in the market for a new goalkeeper and according to reports, they have their eyes firmly on Stoke City’s Begovic, Valencia’s Vicent Guaita, QPR’s Julio Cesar and now Newcastle United’s Tim Krul.
It remains to be seen if Newcastle will be seen if Newcastle United will be willing to sell such a key player as Krul with so little time left for them in the transfer window to get in a replacement.
