Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has bid for the service of Olympics star Omar Abdulrahman in an attempt to beat other clubs interested in the Arabians. Mirror are reporting that Wenger is very confident of agreeing a deal with Omar’s club even though other big clubs such as Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and others are reportedly interested.
Omar’s deputy club chairman said to Journalist : “Have we had an offer from Arsenal for him to come to train? Then yes.
“We’ve also had offers from Spanish teams, and other teams also, but the player will decide ultimately. We got a lot of offers for Omar. If he finds the right environment, then we will be very supportive.
“It’s a package that will have to be right, where he can improve his football. I’ll leave that for Omar – that’s for him to decide.”
However, Omar’s club has blocked him from taking part in a trial with Arsenal that was to start today ( Monday ) as they make a last minute attempt to him their high rated star.
Mirrors source however understand this has not reduced Wenger’s confident of signing the UEA under 21 player. It is believe that Arsenal do not want to give up the chase after having worked on the deal for the last few months.
