According to Daily Express, Arsenal are looking to sign the latest German wonderkid, Sinan Kurt. The German forward is the latest player to be linked to Arsenal, and has been compared to former Borussia Mönchengladbach star, Marco Reus, and is seen to have a lot of potential.
He has been watched by Arsenal scouts, who have been said to be impressed with the quality of his performances, and Arsenal are expected to bid for his services. If Arsenal succeed in their pursuit, then Kurt would join the growing German contingent at Arsenal, meeting up with countrymen Serge Gnabry, Thomas Eisfeld, and Gedion Zelalem, along with Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker in the first team.
This interest represents a change in Arséne Wenger’s transfer philosophy. While, he used to be known for unearthing French diamonds, he has shifted over to buying young players from the top two footballing countries in the world-Spain and Germany-though there is the occasional French signing too, like this season, where Wenger has signed the Under 20 French striker, Yaya Sanogo, from Auxerre on a Bosman. This might frustrate Arsenal fans, who were promised stellar signings this season, and have only been rewarded with the signing of Sanogo, though the club continues to be linked to marquee players like Luis Suarez and there are growing reports of the return of Cesc Fabregas.
