Arsenal’s vice captain Mikel Arteta who has been struggling with injuries this season has praised Arsenal’s new signing Mesut Ozil for his impact on the gunners ever since he joined on the last day of the summer’s transfer window in a club record breaking 42.5 million pounds deal from Real Madrid. Arteta who only recently returned back to action for the gunners after a 4 weeks injury lay off claims the signing of Mesut Ozil makes the difference in Arsenal losing games or actually winning them.
Talking to Arsenal’s official website Arteta said :
“When you have a type of player who is capable of finishing the way he finished his goal it makes the difference between winning and losing those games. He’s a very intelligent player, he is quick and his final ball is terrific. He gives you a step forward quality-wise, and is someone on the pitch who can win the game by himself. The more players you have like that the better chance we have to win the games. I think it was a great message from the Club to sign Ozil because everybody was expecting a top, top player – probably a striker more than a No 10 – but at the end we got an amazing player”.
Mesut Ozil has had a great start to his Arsenal career with 4 assists created for his team mates and scoring once in the 5 matches he has played for the gunners in all competition.
