Arsenal have been reported to be preparing a bid for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco of Atletico Madrid which they hope will lure the Belgian from the Spanish capital. Arsenal have been busy this summer transfer after signing Borussia Dortmund’s Granit Xhaka for £30 million and are expected to sign more.
This move was revealed by Emmanuele Giulianelli who is an Italian football expert. The Italian revealed that Arsenal are ready to bid €20 million – €25 million, a price they believe will see Atletico sell him.
Atletico have already identified Lazio’s Candreva as his possible replacement if he eventually leaves Diego Simeone’s team. The Belgian can play in any position in attack and scored a crucial equaliser against Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League this season, which Atletico eventually lost on penalties.
Carrasco was signed from Monaco last season and has gone on to impress in the Spanish La Liga. Arsenal are in dire need of a striker, as the likes Oliver Giroud, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck have either being injured or flopped during their time at the club.
