Arsenal goal keeper, who spent last season on loan at AS Roma, Wojciech Szczesny has made it known that he will only decide on his future after the European championships currently going on in France.
As they say, one man’s meat is another man’s poison, while some players wanted to wrap up their transfers before the European championships in France; Arsenal’s Polish International goalkeeper is waiting until after Euro 2016 before discussing his transfer. The young man look relaxed, and who knows, he could be quite sure of where he will be playing next season already.
The 26-year-old goal keeper said;
“Right now I’m not thinking about my future, my teammates and I are focused exclusively on the Euros. I hope to achieve a good result with Poland, I’ll only think about other things once the tournament is over.”
The young goal keeper has nothing ‘too big’ to ponder about, he either stays at Roma on loan for another season to aid he’s development or returns to Arsenal and sit on the bench for first choice goal keeper Petr Cech, a move that could halt his development. The decision is his to make, and it appears the player is keen on staying put at Roma.
It will make sense if Arsenal let him remain in Italy for at least another season so as to aid the development of this young talent, because should he return to Arsenal now, nothing much has changed, as Petr Cech is still in charge. But if he returns after one more season, he would have acquired enough experience to take over from the ageing former Chelsea man.
