Alvaro Morata is one of the most sought after players in the world football at the moment. However, reports claim Arsenal and Chelsea are the likeliest clubs to sign the Spaniard. With the Blues said to be slightly ahead of Arsenal in the chase for the player.
The Spaniard netted 27 goals in 93 appearances for Juventus after he moved back to Italy in 2014, but Madrid have activated their buyback option which they smartly inserted in his contract when they were selling him to Juventus in 2014. Los Blancos are however said to be ready to sell him on for profit.
Reports this afternoon claim Real Madrid believe the player will be in England by next week to undergo a medical with either Chelsea or Arsenal as they want to sell him as soon as possible in order to fund the purchase of Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Morata had recently confirmed he is open to staying at Real Madrid or coming to England provided he will get regular playing time. With Madrid having been given a big fine due to tax invasion, they could do with the money from the sale of Morata which explains why he could be going to Chelsea as the Blues seem to have more money than sense.
