Cristian Pavon is on Arsenal’s January radar with new head of football Raul Sanllehi reportedly making the Argentina star his top target.
Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi and Unai Emery is reportedly a ‘big admirer’ of the forward, who is believed to have a £44.5m release clause with his current club.
It seems the Argentinian side would be willing to negotiate a deal for slightly less than the clause though, according to The Sun.
It’s claimed contact has already been made with his club, who have told Arsenal they will have to pay £40m to get him.
Pavon’s agents have already been in contact with several top clubs in Europe as they look to get their man a big move.
He was born in on January 21, 1966 in Argentina’s second city of Cordoba.
He signed his first professional contract with local top-flight club Talleres in 2012, aged just 16.
Pavon joined Boca in 2014 for £1million but his value has sky-rocketed after he turned heads in South America.
He also helped Boca win the Argentine Primera Division twice in the last two seasons.
