Former Arsenal target and now Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has told the press in Italy that Arsenal manager has got a bargain by signing Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid for 42.5 million pounds. Higuain himself was close to joining Arsenal in the last transfer window with the Arsenal manager confirming this afternoon that the gunners were actually very close to completing the signing of the Argentine who ended up signing for Napoli.
The Argentine is certain the highly rated German is a dream midfielder for any striker.
Higuain said: “I had the pleasure to play with Mesut and he is one of the best players in the world.
“As a striker he is a dream to play with – because you know he is going to create you chances.
“When you look at some of the crazy fees that players moved for this summer you have to say that Mesut was a great deal for Arsenal.”
Arsenal will be taking on Higuain’s club Napoli in the second day of the UEFA champions league group match.
