Arsenal Chiefs FLY To Spain To Complete Signing Of £80,000-A-Week Star

With the completion of their first signing of the summer transfer window, Granit Xhaka, and Jamie Vardy looking like he is already in the bag, Arsenal are set to make it three as soon as possible.

Arsenal’s forward line is a department wherein a lot of flaws still lie as players like Olivier Giroud have been inconsistent and they have lacked bite in recent times.

This is a major issue that hampered Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League last season and the Gunners have made moves to create a solution.

The Gunners are now in contention to secure the services of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata who has revealed his intention of playing for Arsenal. This is aside the fact that from all indication, Jamie Vardy will become a Gunner.

In preparations to snap up the Spanish international, Wenger has sent out scouts to monitor the progress of the 23-year-old striker, just the same way they did before Xhaka was signed, sealed and delivered. Reliable inside sources have it that scouts watched Xhaka for about 30 times, which made him uncomfortable along the line.

The case of Morata is not expected to be an exception. Wenger will expectedly act fast and will try to secure his signing before the Euro competition begins so as to ward off competitions from other European giants who may develop interest if the star has a nice outing with Spain during the tournament. Morata is currently in fine form aftet he scored two goals in Spain’s 6-1 friendly match victory over South Korea on Wednesday.
