Adrien Rabiot has refused to sign for Tottenham Hotspur as he pushes for a January transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain, reports in France claim. The midfielder is available on a free transfer at the end of this season but PSG are determined to offload him in the winter transfer window. A host of Europe’s top clubs are keen to sign him, with Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool joining the likes of Barcelona and Juventus in a bid to land the 23-year-old. Spurs were among the Premier League sides hoping to lure him to England, but PSG officials have told their transfer negotiators that Rabiot simply has no interest in a move to Tottenham, according to Le10Sport.
Mauricio Pochettino had been keen to bolster his midfield options and Rabiot represented a potentially bargain transfer but the Argentine tactician will have to look elsewhere. Barcelona have been heralded as the favourites to sign the Frenchman, who was left out of France’s World Cup winning squad by Didier Deschamps in the summer.
