From the outside, it looks like the Gunners are well and truly on the up as the team is currently on a nine-match winning streak.
That feeling of goodwill will be further improved by the business that the club has done off the pitch. Arsenal have announced that the club will end their sponsorship deal with Puma and enter a new one with Adidas at the beginning of next season.
This bit of news has understandably made a lot of fans feel happy as the news that the club will be getting a lot more money is something to celebrate.
Though the club did not reveal the exact details of the deal between Adidas and them, it is understood that the Gunners will get £300m over a five year period.
That roughly amounts to around £60m a season and that is comfortably the biggest deal that the club has struck in its history. It has to be noted that this deal would be worth double what the club has been getting from Puma.
It would become the second largest deal in the Premier League with only Manchester United getting more than the Gunners at the moment. The Adidas deal puts Arsenal level with Chelsea when it comes to kit sponsorship.
This is without a doubt very good news for the club and the fans as this means that the club can spend a little more to improve the club. It is a step in the right direction and will help the Gunners keep pace with the other elite clubs around the world.
But if they wish to continue on this path, it is vital that they manage to get Champions League football back at the Emirates. Getting the deal from Adidas is great but without the Champions League, the Gunners become a less attractive option for players. That can only be solved on the pitch and the fans will be hoping that it happens this season.
