Outgoing Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has revealed that Jack Wilshere will sign a new contract and stay put at Arsenal for the foreseeable future, according to report.
Wilshere is in the final two months of his current contract with Arsenal and he has knocked back contract extension offers made by the Gunners for him, with reports heavily linking him with a move away from the club.
The 26-year-old star joined Arsenal as a 9-year-old and broke into the club’s first team in 2008/09 season. After steadily proving his mettle, his impressive career became blighted by series of injuries that hampered his development.
Wilshere spent the most part of last season on loan at Bournemouth but his spell with the Cherries was cut short by injury. He has been impressive for Arsenal since his return this term but Arsenal have tabled a performance-based contract for him, and this has not gone down well with the England midfielder.
Nonetheless, Wenger has had a chat with Wilshere and he revealed that he is convinced the midfielder will sign a new deal with Arsenal
