If reports doing the rounds on the social media are anything to be believed, Bayern Munich’s Brazil international Luiz Gustavo will be playing for Arsenal next season. Reports have it that Arsenal and Bayern Munich have agreed a deal worth about 14 million Euros and all that is left is for Arsenal and the Brazilian to agree terms.
Just few days ago, Bayern Munich’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the media that Gustavo has decided not to join Wolfsburg who were the closest club to his signature back then as he prefers to wait to see if there will be interest from any of the clubs playing in the champions league.
Gustavo has been rumoured to be a target for Arsenal for quite some time now. He was according to many reports in January close to joining Arsenal before it all died down. He is leaving Bayern Munich after seeing his already limited chances become even more limited after Bayern Munich acquired Spanish under 21 international Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona in a deal reportedly worth 21 million Euros.
If signed, Gustavo will offer the gunners the much needed cover in the defensive part of midfield. He is also able to play in the centre of the defense when call upon.
