Reports in the last couple of weeks in the British press suggest Theo Walcott could be leaving Arsenal this summer. The Englishman has been linked with moves to West Ham and Southampton and if more sensational reports from Germany today are anything to go by, it appears truly Theo Walcott has already played his last game for us.
According to the German media, Dortmund and Armenia international midfielder/attacker has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and will become a Gunner before the end of the transfer window. The reports went on to say Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear to Dortmund he will be paying the £30 million they are demanding for the player.
Dortmund had reportedly made up their mind to keep the player regardless of whether he signs a new deal or not. But if the new reports are to be believed, it seems Dortmund have changed their mind and will be selling him to Arsenal rather than losing him for free.
Mkhitaryan was voted the best player in the Bundesliga last season, scored 19 goals and created 24 assists despite playing in an unusual right wing position. Theo Walcott out and Mkhitaryan in is certainly definitely an upgrade.
