According to a recent report by the Sun, Arsenal are lining up a January move to secure the services of Ezri Konsa from Brentford. It is believed that the Gunners are prepared to table an official bid of £15m to bring the Championship talent to North London. Unai Emery is looking to bring in some reinforcements during the January transfer window, and Konsa fits their billperfectly.
The London born prospect began his football career at Charlton and graduated from their academy before sealing a move to Brentford last summer. He has already put in a string of commanding displays for the Bees this season which has not gone unnoticed by the Gunners chiefs. The English centre-half’s dominant displays during this campaign have helped Brentford climb up to the 15th place in the EFL Championship standings.
Konsa has made 18 appearances for the Bees this season across all competitions and has also represented the England Under-21 side five times in his young career so far. The former Charlton talent could be considered as one of the most promising young defenders in the Championship, and the Gunners would do well to prise him away from Griffin Park.
