Barcelona, have offered Denis Suarez to Premier League club Arsenal in a price-slash deal in January. The Catalan midfielder has been frozen out of Ernesto Valverde’s squad at Nou Camp playing just 11 minutes all season.

And according to British news media outlet, The Independent, La Blaugrana have told the midfielder’s representatives he is free to leave in the coming transfer window.

The Gunners have are currently monitoring the situation for the 24-year-old’s availability at a cut-price of £14million.

And Unai Emery is familiar with the qualities of Suarez, having been on loan under him while he was the manager of Sevilla four years ago.

The Spanish coach could be tempted to make the move in replacement of Aaron Ramsey who is bound to leave next month or during the summer.

Three years ago, Suarez was sold to Villarreal with a buy-back clause of £3.1million which was triggered after just one successful season with the Yellow Marines.

But now that the Spaniard is surplus to requirements, Barca wants him off the books but will look to agree a sell-on percentage if he shines at his new club.
