In Arsene Wengers bid to bring silverware to the Emirate next season, with Vardy’s transfer stalling and failed attempt to lure Cavani, a bid for Antoine Griezmann is imminent.
It’s believed that Arsenal is not the only club interested in the French striker, as Premier league giants Manchester United and Chelsea are targeting Antoine Griezmann, his adviser has confirmed.
The Frenchman was in scintillating form for Diego Simeone’s side last season, scoring more than 33 goals in in all competition last season.
The player’s agent Eric Olhats has fuelled speculations after he revealed earlier in the year that the player is ready to listen to any offers
‘Contrary to certain claims announcing that Antoine at Atletico next season will be the case without fail, nothing has been decided or endorsed,’ said Eric Olhats.
‘We are currently listening to different clubs who also offer real interest and attraction.’
In a twist to that, Atletico Madrid insist Arsenal and Chelsea target Antoine Griezmann is going nowhere, claiming the Spanish club have just allowed striker Jackson Martinez to leave for China last season, while they have also sold top strikers like Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao over the last few years.
But the Madrid based club insist Griezmann will not go the same way, despite strong interest from the top English Premier League clubs and from within Spain, with Barcelona and Real Madrid both keeping close tabs on his situation.
Now that Arsene Wenger is running out of options, it advice able the Arsenal manager look towards bidding for the striker, a proven goal poacher, who is reported to have a 60 million pounds release clause in his contract, that could add a lot of quality to the present side.
