According to reports, Arsenal has dropped out of the race to bring Alvaro Morata to the Emirates after Real Madrid’s giant asking cost. Morata has been playing in the Italian Serie A for the last two seasons with Juventus.
Real Madrid confirmed yesterday that they are ready to re-sign the Spanish striker this summer for a fee believed to be around £23.5m.
In an announcement on their site, the club composed:
“Real Madrid C. F. has informed Juventus FC of their decision to salvage the federative rights on the player Alvaro Morata, who will join up with the first team for pre-season training under the command of Zinedine Zidane.”
Los Blancos are currently hoping to sell the 23-year-old to another club this summer to make an enormous benefit, as they did with Alvaro Negredo and Roberto Soldado previously.
The Mirror claims that the Premier League is a conceivable destination for Morata yet Arsenal has been put off Real’s £60m asking price. Though, the report also claims that Manchester United and Chelsea are still in the race to get the players’ signature.
Why is Arsene always afraid of getting players worth more than and/or up to £60m?
