Almost Done: Wenger To Personally Superintend Record Breaking Deal For Prolific Attacker – Not Lacazette

With Jamie Vardy rejecting Arsenal, Gonzalo Higuain moving to Juventus and Aleksandre Lacazette deal is uncertain, Arsenal chase for a striker signing is getting desperate. According to report from the ArsenalStation, Arsenal remains in the hunt for Morata alongside Chelsea.

Morata returned to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer of Los blancos activated the player’s buy back clause. He was instantly linked to several clubs as it was thought he would be offered up for sale to accrue profit.

It then looked as though the 23-year-old would remain in Spain after Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane asked the club not to cash-in on him, however, there appears to have been another u-turn.

The Express are citing reports coming from El Confidencial who claim that Morata has now got concerns over the amount of first team football he’ll play at the Bernabeu and has told friends he wants to leave.

Goal scoring is certainly not the only thing about Morata’s game, even when the Spaniard doesn’t score, he has much to offer, providing dynamic play up front coupled with excellent dribbling skills and the ability to create opportunities for his team-mates.

Morata saga looks set to rumble on for some time, but unless Los Blancos part with one of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema or Gareth Bale, it’s likely he’ll have a more significant role elsewhere than he would staying at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With Manchester United getting Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Paris Saint Germain last  month, Arsenal have a perfect chance of signing the former Juventus striker.

He is valued at £59m.
