According to reports, London club Arsenal is ready to battle London rivals Chelsea for the signature of Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo.
Murillo, 24, featured regularly for Serie A side Inter Milan last season as he made 35 appearances in all competitions for the Milan based club.
The defender, scored two goals in 34 top-flight appearances in his first season in the Italian Serie A, following a move from Spanish side Granada last summer.
It’s believed that out-going Italy head coach Antonio Conte, who is set to take over at London club Chelsea after the European championship is looking to sign the Inter Milan defender, and the former-Juventus manager has been linked with a lot of Italian Serie A defenders since his appointment was confirmed by Chelsea hierarchy earlier this year.
West London club Chelsea could face stiff competition from their London rivals Arsenal for the Colombia international in this current summer’s transfer window.
North London side Arsenal want to bring the Inter Milan defender to the English Premier League as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his defense line, according to the Daily Express.
The Colombia international, who has previously played for Italian sides Udinese and Las Palmas, has scored one goal in 17 appearances for the Colombia national team since making his debut in 2014.
