4-2-3-1 – Possible Arsenal Formation Next Season With New £45m Signing

The league was there for the taking last season, all Arsenal needed to do was to keep their nerve, but unfortunately came second last season, yet it’s been seen as a failure.

Arsenal fans have since been screaming on tops of their voices for new signings, and Arsene Wenger will probably have to listen.

Having signed the exciting Swiss international Granit Xhaka, to fill a hole that has since been left by Arsenal legend Patrick Viera, we look at Arsenal possible summer signings and formation for next season.

Petr Cech

The top class goalkeeper proved his worth in his first season at the club, winning the Premier League Golden Glove award for most clean sheets. Like last season, Cech will not be the reason Arsenal win the Premier League title, but, he could well be a big reason why they’re still within touching distance until the end.

Hector Bellerin

One of the revelations of the season, usurping Mathieu Debuchy’s right back spot and becoming one of the best performing full backs in the league and making the English Premier League’s team of the season.

Laurent Koscielny

The centre back has matured nicely and is now the heartbeat of the Arsenal defence.

Kalidou Koulibaly

The versatile Senegalese defender, who has played in the midfield and at full back, is the kind of classy defender who would fit into Arsenal’s team also adding a bit of solidity alongside in defense alongside Koscielny.

Nacho Monreal

He has become the undisputed first-choice left back and there’s no reason to change that.

Granit Xhaka

Xhaka is the hard-man the Gunners have been calling out for to bring solidity to the midfield, but he’s also a leader on the pitch by taking control of the ball. He picks up the ball from the back and send it to the creative midfielders in front of him, whilst staying back to protect his defence.

Santi Cazorla

He is comfortable on the ball and has the ability to find killer passes. He also takes the creative pressure off those players in front of him, and playing in a slightly deeper role makes him the perfect out-ball to recycle possession against a stubborn defence.

Alexis Sanchez

What else do we say about the man that hit the ground running in his first season in the Premier league? Arsenal cannot afford an off-colour Sanchez for very long.

Arda Turan

Turan is for sure a fantastic player who is kept out of the Barcelona team by Messi, Suarez and Neymar. Arsenal could yet again be the team that gives a home to a world class player who simply can’t break into the best attack the world has ever seen – Barcelona

Mesut Ozil

If Arsenal are to win the league this season, Mesut Ozil’s key passes will have to be played to the kind of player who can score goals! Ozil is one piece of the jigsaw, but a good striker is needed, too.

Alexandre Lacazette

The Lyon striker is a proven goalscorer, strong and quick, the kind of player who usually thrives in the Premier League. He could be the man to fire Arsenal to a first Premier League title in over 12 years.
