The rivalry of the top Premier League clubs seem to have moved off the pitch and to the transfer market.
According latest reports, Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race for French star Dimitri Payet.
The Daily Star claims that both clubs have spoken to the France international’s representative to work out if there is any interest in remaining in the Premier League.
But it’s understood that the 29-year-old, who has also received offers from the Chinese Super League, has his heart set on a return to Marseille due to family reasons.
The Ligue 1 club, who sold Payet to West Ham for £10.7 million in 2015, have already had two offers rejected.
And West Ham are reportedly holding out for a £30 million fee for the winger, who was one of the Premier League top performers last season.
